Look out for our new LNG powered B-Double as it hits the road... 05/05/2010 01:57pm

We were all excited to take delivery of our new LNG powered B-Double rig yesterday.

In its striking special one-off livery it is designed to promote our joint effort with Fonterra to show how seriously Wettenhalls take our environmental responsibility.

This rig is an public example of Wettenhalls working for and with its key customers to ensure that we are playing our part in minimising the impact we have on the environment for all of our children.

This LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Kenworth K108, based in our original home of Colac, will make daily round trips between Dandenong, Lara and the Western Region. It will be double-shifted throughout the week to maximise the environmental and economic benefits of using LNG.  The truck produces 25% less carbon emissions than the equivalent diesel powered Cummins ISX-EGR engine in the same conditions with no loss of power.
